News highlight
Boomi introduces Boomi API Control Plane for easier API discovery, management, and governance, post APIIDA acquisition.
Boomi API Control Plane is a tool designed to help users manage their APIs. The control plane builds on the federated API management business acquired from APIIDA and Cloud Software Group. The firm believes API management is crucial for the development of enterprise AI systems, as enterprises pool their applications and resources. EMEA CTO Ann Maya said that API building has been democratized, but it has created additional security risks. Boomi's Control Plane Service scans organizations' infrastructure, identifying all APIs deployed on a gateway and bringing them back under IT governance. Developers can submit new APIs to the Control Plane, which then runs tests to ensure compliance, security, and quality assurance. APIs can then be loaded into a dev portal and made available to other users.
