News Highlight
Stripe has agreed to acquire payment orchestration startup Orum for an undisclosed amount. Orum, founded in 2019, provides a single solution for accessing RTP, FedNow, Same Day ACH, ACH, and wires. Its payment API orchestrates instant payouts using AI to predict fund availability and pre-authorize transactions. Orum also verifies bank accounts and delivers payments 24/7 with its Direct to Fed solution. The company has raised $82.2 million since its inception in 2019. The acquisition is part of Stripe's recent acquisitions, including user data API company Privy and stablecoin platform Bridge. The acquisition comes as real-time payments ramp up globally, driven by the launch of FedNow in the US in 2023 and growing interest in stablecoins.
